Thor Stadil receives DCCC Lifetime Achievement Award
We are very proud to announce that, during his recent stay in China, Thor Stadil has been awarded the DCCC Lifetime Achievement Award.
hummel and Astrid Andersen launch a collaboration for Summer 2020, bringing together the heritage of Denmark’s oldest sportswear brand and one of the most defining contemporary designers in luxury sportswear.
Astrid Andersen and hummel both continue to strive towards taking positive action and re-forming the habits of the past when it comes to their impact in the world and believe this needs to be a shared mission and purpose for all companies and individuals advocating a future of more conscious consumption. This collection celebrates their commitment to doing more, doing better and doing it now.
Astrid Andersen has worked with dead stock from hummel’s archive, repurposing this for today and reintroducing what would otherwise have become waste into the market.
hummel is one of the oldest, most dedicated team sports brands in the business. Since 1923 their iconic chevrons have been a symbol of how they like to do things differently, and with character. With deep roots in football and handball, hummel have been producing team kits for close to a century, filtering their innovation in use of sportswear textiles and techniques into their everyday sportswear lines.
Inspired by hummel’s long history in sports apparel, Andersen delves into the brand’s rich archive, re-purposing iconic pieces to create a refreshed look firmly rooted in a design ethos that reflects the century long team-sports aesthetic that has defined hummel.
